Twin Falls Dispatch Center

Twin Falls, ID

LBYD Federal was awarded a competitive task order under a five‑year, firm‑fixed‑price IDIQ contract with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The task order covers full architectural and engineering (A&E) design services for the new Twin Falls Fire Dispatch Center complex.

Project Scope

The project supports development across an undeveloped 35‑acre site and includes multiple new facilities:

  • 10,000 sq ft Fire Dispatch Center
  • 10,200 sq ft, six‑bay Fire Station
  • Two 3,650 sq ft, ten‑bedroom crew quarters
  • Fire equipment staging area

Design Services

LBYD Federal delivered a Title I design for the full site. The team also completed a Phase I Title II design for the Dispatch Center and supporting utilities.

Design work included schematic design, design development, and construction documents. LBYD Federal worked closely with BLM throughout the process to ensure alignment with program needs.

Site and Utility Design

The team designed full site infrastructure, including:

  • Site access and grading
  • Roadways and parking
  • Stormwater management systems
  • Security features
  • Utility extensions for electric, water, sewer, gas, and communications

The design also included provisions for individual smart metering.

Multidisciplinary Engineering and Sustainability

The project required careful planning to support a four‑phase construction approach and future expansion. LBYD Federal provided integrated engineering services across multiple disciplines:

  • Civil
  • Structural
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Geotechnical

The design incorporated sustainability measures aligned with the Guiding Principles for Sustainable Federal Buildings. The team evaluated solar hot water, photovoltaic, and wind power options, as well as structural and utility accommodations for future renewable energy systems.
